A Wine Weekend at Chateau Rigaud is a wine tour with a difference

A Rigaud wine weekend provides an unpretentious and entertaining approach to wine in a relaxed house party atmosphere. Yes you will learn about wine but the without boring classrooms or rigid agenda’s. You’re here to relax as well as to learn.

Guests share the chateau with other wine weekend guests and enjoy two days out in the vines, visiting chateaux, touring vineyards and soaking up the atmosphere which makes Bordeaux undisputedly the most prestigious wine region of the world.

Wine weekend: Day One

Rigaud is situated 15 minutes from world famous appellation of St Emilion. Wine weekend guests can expect to visit both the establishment Premier Grand Cru Classé chateaux of St Emilion and also the smaller, up and coming producers of neighbouring Cotes de Castillon, dubbed “the thinking drinkers St Emilion” for it’s similar terroir at much reduced prices. Share lunch in a vine workers ‘relais’ and take time to visit the pretty streets and boutiques of St Emilion village itself.

Wine weekend: Day Two

The wine weekend continues with a glorious drive south through the rolling vines of the Entre Deux Mer to Sauternes, with lunch at a classified estate where you learn how and why the delicious noble rot makes this dessert wine so delicious.

We are also able to provide alternative activities for non participating partners on the wine weekend including spa treatments and market visits

600 euros per person which includes dinner bed and breakfast accommodation with pre dinner tutored tastings, wines with dinner, organised chateau visits, vineyard tours and return airport transfers
